Jedisushi06 2014 Grow, Return of the JEDI

I started fairly early this year of 2013 for 2014.  I had a good garden season this summer and grew lots of super hots and non super hots.  I produced over 200 pounds of tomatoes for canning, and lots of cucumbers for pickles.  I used my last big tomato and pepper harvest to can salsa.  I plan on growing more plants this year and trying to grow some types i did not get around to this summer.  I also plan on growing peas, tomatoes, rhubarb, mixed greens, pumpkins, and non super hot peppers and thai chiles for drying.  Here's an updated list of what i'm growing so far.  I have plans for lots more peppers so stay tuned.  I want to thank all the great people on here that taken their time to send me seeds to grow, i want to give a shout out to Romy 6, Bhut Camp, megahot, Jack Superhot, Tmudder, Spicegeist, Colorado Ronin, Judy at pepperlover, silver surfer, Semilnas, Nigel Carter, Bill Moore, chile beast, Brian Seal, lucky dog hot sauce, Chris Joyner, my favorite cowboy, old barn nursery, and old dirty bastard.

Wish me luck!  The habaneros are for making canned salsa this fall.  Thanks for stopping by my crazy glog, i've cleary gone insane!

Just finished reading the glog from the beginning. WOW. Coffee rubbed venison, salsa, hot sauce, tacos, pork chops, greenhouses, plants, more plants, and just when I start to calm down a bit. Sprouts? I would say this getting a bit out of hand. But I won't because that would be a lie. Not even close. Fantastic grow log. I can't wait to see the next chapter.

Yeah i'm a bit crazy for gardening.  I hope to replicate last season's numbers.  Thanks for reading!

Hey, Mike, your plants are looking outstanding - when the high desert
Spring and summer get here they will be ready for prime time!  Your
house looks like it has pretty good sun exposure.

I grew the Devil's Tongue Yellow last season, along with the Fatali Yellow
and Bonda Ma Jacques.  the DT was my least favorite.  Great heat, but
the flavor left me flat.  Too bitter.  With Fatalis and Bondas, I see no reason
to grow out the DT again.  It was a prolific producer, though!

Thanks Paul, it's been really warm here lately so I'm hoping for an early spring with less wind. Honestly it's been spring weather here for over a week now with cold wind today but sunny skies. I'm hoping to get these big guys into 7 gallon pots by the time they go outside, I really need to find cheaper soil right now. This happy frog stuff is great but not for 26$ a bag. I'm already in about 150$ in soil this season

Wow! Great looking jungle you have going. I feel your pain on the soil $$$.
I'm going to start another mixing experiment myself.
My best "mix" last year, on a very limited scope (just a couple of 2" pots), was just scraping leaf mold out of the woods at my house and sifting it.

They do love the happy frog that's for sure!  It's a little cheaper in Durango at 22$ a bag.  2 cubic foot is the size.  I was using black gold last season outdoors at 12$ a bag but it's not for sale that cheap just yet.  Maybe by next month it will be.

Well i got tons of flowers but no pods yet.

Plants are looking stellar!

They're ready to hit dirt yesterday.

Sorry about the expensive soil. I just use the cheapo 12 buck bags here, plants seem to like it!
