I made salsa with all those pods in the picture, canned salsa. That's my plan for next season too. That hot sauce i made with 4 pounds of mourga scorpions purchased from Judy at pepperlover.com. Red and yellow ones. That sauce is amazing, best one yet.

Oh wow! When you make salsa in bulk like that, how do you can it up? Like, how do you seal the cans without heating it up and cooking it a second time, or do you have another preservation method?

You have to cook it on the stove. I plan on posting a recipe for everyone on here this coming year. It has to be heated to 180 degrees to make it safe, plus you add lemon juice to help keep it safe, then I can it in a water bath for 30 mins or 40.

i followed this recipe but i left the sugar out and added lots of hot peppers and Colorado sweet corn.

Jedi, when you grow in the flat, do the roots shoot through the drainage holes, and when they do how do you avoid hurting them in transplant?

not yet, i planted two seeds, one original and one that i grew and neither sprouted. I'm replanting next week, but i'm going to switch from rapid rooters to seedling soil. Or might use horticubes.

I transplant when the roots start popping out. They are easy to transplant into soil. Damn i need another t8 light soon. Looks like i'm going to be over doing it.

yeah me too. I'm hoping to have pods by late july this year.

just got these transplanted today. It's nice to be off work all week to get some things done.

Still haven't gotten a seed to sprout. Rotten luck i guess.

Looking good Mike, they are big already. Should be enormous by plant out time .

Are you flowering under those T8s? I wouldn't be surprised if you had pods sooner than July if your lights are bright enough.

They are growing faster than i planned. Just ordered a T5 light, 4 footer, should be here soon. Then i can plant more seeds. I also have space downstairs with natural light for my big plants.
