Jedisushi06 2014 Grow, Return of the JEDI

I started fairly early this year of 2013 for 2014.  I had a good garden season this summer and grew lots of super hots and non super hots.  I produced over 200 pounds of tomatoes for canning, and lots of cucumbers for pickles.  I used my last big tomato and pepper harvest to can salsa.  I plan on growing more plants this year and trying to grow some types i did not get around to this summer.  I also plan on growing peas, tomatoes, rhubarb, mixed greens, pumpkins, and non super hot peppers and thai chiles for drying.  Here's an updated list of what i'm growing so far.  I have plans for lots more peppers so stay tuned.  I want to thank all the great people on here that taken their time to send me seeds to grow, i want to give a shout out to Romy 6, Bhut Camp, megahot, Jack Superhot, Tmudder, Spicegeist, Colorado Ronin, Judy at pepperlover, silver surfer, Semilnas, Nigel Carter, Bill Moore, chile beast, Brian Seal, lucky dog hot sauce, Chris Joyner, my favorite cowboy, old barn nursery, and old dirty bastard.

Love the garnishes, and the asparagus on the side. Spicy venison, good times.

Can't wait to hear more about your salsa recipes. The long processing time must de facto roast all the ingredients. Must be tasty. Need to make some salsa here myself, but the store tomatoes kinda suck around here.

yeah you have to grow your own to get the good ones.

Your plants all look great, the salsa...amazing and the food dishes...NICE!!
Thanks i hope to do better on my super this year.  Had a great harvest last time but i'm looking for better results.  Habanero's do really well out here, need to get some going soon.

I hear you, I think we're all getting the itch to start planting some seeds, especially those of us who are in the cold zones with snow!! ;)

we had an early freeze too last year, i was hoping not to get one till later in october.  I lost a bunch of pods and tomatoes because if it.

Same here, I didn't lose any peppers but lost a bunch of tomatoes...in fact the ones that I froze thinking I'd have enough to last me until maybe March, have all been used, and I've had to resort to buying canned.....yuck!!

My new light was scheduled for saturday, but i'm catering a wedding so had to reschedule for tuesday, bastards charged me 5$ to change the date.

You too walt.

Damn it's hard waking up after your team blew a 38-10 to the f**king colts. Can't say i'm not surprised to say the least.  Been used to them choking since Joe Montana.  Glad i missed the game due to a wedding we had to cater out at 4 seasons nursery.  I had a chance to speak with the owner about using some space in his indoor heated greenhouse to grow some pepper plants until i need them this summer.  Which gives me a chance to get my plants even bigger for next season. In exchange i have to sprout some plants for him to grow and some to sell in the nursery.  Your standard super hots, 7 Pot yellow, 7 pot red, mourgas, etc.  Stuff people know about but don't know much about growing.  This is going to be a great chapter in my pepper growing obsession out here in Colorado.  This will give me the chance to grow my plants bigger and faster with lots of space and i can get all the varietys i want this year done.  Here's some pictures of inside the greenhouse.

They grow tomatoes here year round to sell in the winter farmers market they host in the greenhouse every saturday morning.

Good stuff going on here Mike!

Plants look nice and healthy ;)

Definitely some challenges growing in your climate too.

I see you have a nice list to grow this year; my wife and I strive to grow what we would normally buy.

Good deal on working out some space in the greenhouse, can't beat that!

Good luck this season!

Wow!  That is incredible.  That is going to be so awesome.  Lucky you!  The plants are going to do so well with all that light and warmth, what an upgrade!
