Joyner's Hot Pepper Powders 2014 GLOG

As of now here is the somewhat final list for the 2014 growing season...the 7 pot red has a question mark because I am waiting to see if I can use a 1/2 acre in Va of my uncles and isolate. It is very hard to leave over 100 different varieties in the seed bin and not grow them all out!

Best of luck to everyone and I plan to get seeds started in the next few days.

Most excellent pod porn Chris! It looks like things in the Northern hemisphere are heading past the tipping point and the Chinense harvest is on! Continued success brother!

Huh... that's different! Have you noticed any difference in flavor between the different colored pods?

Nice Chinense pull Chris!    We've been having daytime highs in the 70s and 80s with overnight lows in the 50s, so it's taking most of the Chinense varieties longer to ripen. The exception is the MoA... that was a surprise.

Are you picking your Thais pretty regularly now? I'm getting a few Red Demon pods a week now, and still waiting for the Prik Leuang to ripen. They're both loaded though.

Hey Rick, have not tried both. They are brutal and the heat makes it hard to taste :) As for the Thai's, like you loaded with tons of pods but a few staples are putting out plenty ripe pods to pick. There will be a point soon it will be out of control.

Just curious...looking at the 7/Pot photo, those pods ripen from the bottom up.....what are the chances that if you left the yellowish pods longer on the plants they'd ripen through orange to red.......only a thought...... ;)

Colorful harvest shot !
