Joyner's Hot Pepper Powders 2014 GLOG

As of now here is the somewhat final list for the 2014 growing season...the 7 pot red has a question mark because I am waiting to see if I can use a 1/2 acre in Va of my uncles and isolate. It is very hard to leave over 100 different varieties in the seed bin and not grow them all out!

Best of luck to everyone and I plan to get seeds started in the next few days.

Just curious...looking at the 7/Pot photo, those pods ripen from the bottom up.....what are the chances that if you left the yellowish pods longer on the plants they'd ripen through orange to red.......only a thought...... ;)

Colorful harvest shot !
Confession, they all did ripen to red....still a long way from brown :) It was very odd since the others never had the yellow before going red. It has been a very strange season. I will be acquiring a bunch of new seed in the off season...way too many crosses!

Outta control, yes... once you pass the tipping point it feels a little like being buried under them, lol! Still, it's what we hope for every spring. :)  Do you think you'll make any Thai curry pastes to freeze with your pods this year?

I am thinking of all kinds of Thai goodies to extend me through the winter!

Quick pull of some of the super hot plants...

Chris I like stopping by your glog for the simple fact that not only do you grow great pods, you present them well. ;)

Stellar pods and plants
Thank you very much. Always a work in progress and I try to learn something each season to repeat or never do again!

Nice pull Chris... looks like you got a little bit of everything!
Thanks! The kids loved all the color choices for certain. I am looking forward to the 7 Pot Burgundy pods, those are very tasty! I will take some pictures of the "not" BBG7, those pods are perfectly shaped and stunning. I'll taste them as well I suppose ;)

Thanks Paul, I can see picking season is going to be crazy which is a good thing. It is always nice when hard work pays off....hoping I can avoid any future large storms. The one thing I cannot do is protect against the crazy weather we have seen!

Wow, it looks great.  So one of the parents of this was the 7 Pot Brown?

In that pic with the plates, what are the red pods on the right just below the bahamian goats?

Yes one of the parents was a 7 Pot Brown, 2 plants both different types of pods and neither brown :)

As for the plate picture....those are Jigsaw pods.
First pod off the plant but not looking like the Yellow Primo is should be....

Time will tell, I forget the source or need to find the paper but then again I don't knock freebies :)
