I made one last year and by seasons end I actually bought one. I am really trying to get into photography since it is another passion of mine. So much to learn!

https://www.facebook.com/ChrisJoynerPhotography

I am also building a website in my very limited spare time. ;)
Ah, Chris, My wife and I write them from scratch using notepad or (me) a Unix command prompt. If you want to maintain one yourself  I suggest learning the code or find a cool piece of software to help you. One thing you have in your favor is excellent photography. I have both a (old) high end camera and a new point and shoot, between the two I can get decent pics, although I often shoot pics I really shouldn't post...time factor here. In today's world integrating a shopping cart is way easier than when I started in '96

Good luck with your site!

LOL... IE6??? Funniest darned thing I heard all day!
Yeah, what win98?...LOL...and then there's Windoze 8.....looking up...please help us! But there's Linux..

I actually have a degree..BSIT and have worked on web stuff since the 90's. I do build and maintain my own sites but way too easy to get away with CMS systems nowadays! I mainly use Joomla and templates to do the majority of the work. Do you and you wife have a business or do it for fun?

Did I mention I used to run Botnets and wrote in TCL and took over chatrooms..muhahahahha - Oh the days of Eggdrops

Ah, mIRC ... Node.JS is the new Tcl, no? ... Async networking stack by default ftw.
I actually wrote a take over script for mIRC and used to run my own network on Usenet and some others. Oh the days.....I should Google it and see if I cans till find that mIRC script. :)

Yeah I had MIRC bot in '95, named Havoc...LOL..he was one bad dude. I had it so if someone said the wrong thing boom! At work we have a Joomla site now, they hired a company to build the site cuz technology dept. was too shorthanded, make sure the version is recent. It has serious security issues. We were had, in a small way. I loaded the newest version on a Linux box and the web peeps said..."oh no we need version 1.5" I did as I was asked. The next thing I know I was notified that our server was involved in s DDOS attack. Then I had to learn Joomla...and upgrade. I wrote a script to email any changes made to files and blocked public IP access to the admin interface...

Edit: funny to see the daily reports on who's trying to access the admin page...Russia, France, and Brazil make up the bulk...I just drop network access to their complete networks.
Edit-2: the wife still maintains a few sites from when we had an ISP...it's Vegas change :D

I would be lying to say that I enjoy the process of webdev ... I hate webdev ... I know a ton about it, but cannot bring myself to do it ... It's too broken, too dirty, too political, too closely monitored (now) ...

I am, however, quite liking the embedded device space that's cropped up (raspberry pi, bbb, cubie2) ...

I figure I'll end up in the 3D printing space at some future point, given my current work in cad/cam and hobbyist interest in programming ...

Anyways, in the spirit of having initiated another JHP thread hijacking about tech stuff, I feel the need to share something that I have enjoyed of late ...

https://github.com/ejfox/sStory

All that sweet and sugary responsive design done by anybody but me hallelujah ... I can't tell you have many bad sites I haven't wasted time building because the launch site I made using this proved the concept a failure before I needed to even back the site w/ a db ...

EDIT: Also, even if you outgrow your static sStory site, you'll be able to get by for another stretch using https://github.com/jlord/sheetsee.js/ and Google's spreadsheet ... oh look, free versioning of your data, #ididn'thavetodothat either ...

So, that's what I've learned in 6 yrs of webdev ... try like hell to avoid it as long as possible, having to do it is a great problem to finally have - because it means you are big enough that you'll have to hire a CTO to do it ...

Anyways ... it solved a serious problem for me, how to still be able to say yes when friend, family, or coworker asks for "help" with their personal site (all the while they have no programming experience) ... yeah, that ...

I simply submit that you rather duckduckgo that search ;)

I came here to post on how great your plants, pics and pods be looking, instead I get pulled sucked into a conversation about protocol for linteractive live internet synchronous conferencing & chat, lol ... I never left IRC ... while I do not participate as much as I did in the past I find it great for group communication about technology, programming, music, peppers and a whole array of topics. Plus I love dat old school look & feel!

Yea I said peppers too, rather than repeat myself here you can read about pepper channel in THP thread here.

While I’ve tried many clients over the years, IMHO mIRC is the best for tweaking and writing scripts .... That’s where I pull my /aud (currently playing tunes or audio that's tagged) that I’ve posted in some replies. For example here in paridise I'm typing as the tune  »» Foobar2k ::: Beatles, The - Abbey Road (1969) - 07 - Here Comes the Sun ::: 1:14/3:06 (••••••••••) ::: 405 kbps ««  ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪  plays in da background.

I’m so busy these days that I only get on a few hours a week but I have a list of channels that I still frequent, I’m even an OP on 3 channels, long live IRC, Mwuuhahahahaha ...

Have a great weekend!

Wow, visions of listening to my youngest brother talk . . .

Beautiful big pod and big pulls, Chris; and love the holes drilled in aluminum for smoking!!

You know know what can happen in this thread when we pepperheads get all geeked out! I was that silly guy  living in Austin when Time Warner introduced Road Runner broadband. At first release it was not capped and I claimed the email name root@austin.rr.com. My mIRC script was rootdown based on the Beastie Boys song and would play that tune when a takeover was initiated.

Ok back to peppers....I have a bunch to dry and smoke! Thanks for stopping by all!

Haha - I do not like writing webpages in notepad any longer. After taking 6 or 7 programming languages for my degree I was burned out. I do try to stay hit with pHp simply for the hosting reasons and using Joomla with modules.

Exactly, I have my site linked up to a monitoring site. A guy that is one of the foremost security experts on Joomla. I still need to put my script on the admin stuff as well. Funny that we are all that kind of geek and pepper heads!

Absolutely perfect!

I would venture to say that most of us here have similar personality traits, one being attention to details...work ethic...I could go on :shh:

In closing, fantastic pics!

Great pics and pods! I really liked your mystery chocolate. First thing I could think of when I cut it open and smelled the aroma was.... hopefully I can get this to grow next year, and man would this make a great powder to sprinkle on top of some fresh crepes with homemade whip cream and strawberries in season next year

That's interesting.  I don't think I'll ever grow the brains, they seem so similar to the Y7 to spare the limited space...

How do they compare in terms of productivity?  Do they both put out the same amount of pods and ripen around the same time?

Both are great producers in the ground. The one in the pot is much slower. The Yellow 7's have put out about twice as many pods however. I'll do another test with the wife and see if we can pickup differences including the burn.

It has grown true the first season so hopefully you will get the same results and it didn't cross with it's neighbor the Reaper. :)
