Juanitos 2015 grow

Intro
Besides just fun this year I hope to sell enough to make this hobby pay for itself. If you see something you like I will probably be selling plants or pods at some point in the year, check my website.

I really would like to do hydro dutch buckets in a poly tunnel but don't have enough money/space this year. My dad offered me his small garden plot in the his backyard across town it's about 400+ ft2 so that will be the main grow for 2015 instead of pots like last year(although i'll have a few still).

Updates: links to most notable updates here
germination / into pots
video update seedlings
transplanted outside
drip irrigation test
Some pods showing up

List:
A good variety of heat, flavor, color, and shape that I think will be very pleasing. It's a bit overwhelming to have all these varieties to keep track of and hopefully my wife doesn't kill me. I cut out anums and fruct and wilds so i could better focus my list. Jals and Poblanos are really cheap at the mexican store near me so there is not much point in growing them myself anyway.

No, they are harmless... that is unless you trip and hit your head while running in sheer terror!

so the dyed mulch is what lowes had on sale.... cheaper than the bulk mulch places i called, surprisingly.
i know some people will hate on dyed mulch, but its been ok for me so far, would have rather gone with all natural pine mulch or something but that was twice as expensive. Only costs me 80$ for the whole garden of mulch, with no delivery charge.

here i'm half done
tomatos on the back fence. and 2 rows of peppers in so far.

Looks nasty. We dont have anything like that here, is it poisonous?
No but they will leave a big welt. They can get pretty big. Biggest I've ever seen was probably 4-5" wide from leg to opposite leg.

WTF!?
What kind of spider is this beast?

we have TONS of wolf spiders ...

they eat bugs and aren't poisonous ...

a little fun fact, the mother's carry the babies on their back and if you kill one, while doing so, hundreds of babies run in every direction ... which is either a) unsettling when it's inside, or b) horrific killing mother and babies ...

we just let them be mostly ...

i can't do anything because its all wet,  20% rain all week   :tear:
Yeah I'm really glad I got most of my stuff in this past weekend. There's a chance of spot showers everyday on the week forecast.
As long as it doesn't downpour you should be ok. goid luck to you.

Well got 90% of mulch spread out and planted about  75 plants about half done.
hopefully i can get the rest planted tonight..
then just have to install all the drippers, need to do that soon, been just feeding them rain water i'm sure they want some of that bud candy.. ferts i mean.

sorry about pic quality. i do almost all the planting at night because i'm busy in the daytime.

You are putting mulch between the rows of actual peppers. I am guessing this is for obvious reasons of cutting down weed production in between the rows. What do you use on the actual rows of peppers? Do you just pick those weeds?

Thanks! Looks freakin great!
