Juanitos 2015 grow

Intro
Besides just fun this year I hope to sell enough to make this hobby pay for itself. If you see something you like I will probably be selling plants or pods at some point in the year, check my website.

I really would like to do hydro dutch buckets in a poly tunnel but don't have enough money/space this year. My dad offered me his small garden plot in the his backyard across town it's about 400+ ft2 so that will be the main grow for 2015 instead of pots like last year(although i'll have a few still).

Updates: links to most notable updates here
germination / into pots
video update seedlings
transplanted outside
drip irrigation test
Some pods showing up

List:
A good variety of heat, flavor, color, and shape that I think will be very pleasing. It's a bit overwhelming to have all these varieties to keep track of and hopefully my wife doesn't kill me. I cut out anums and fruct and wilds so i could better focus my list. Jals and Poblanos are really cheap at the mexican store near me so there is not much point in growing them myself anyway.

Any reason the MOA died?
they were too small, between transplant shock, no hardening off, and some high winds they just got overwhelmed i guess.

Lots of little new growth in the garden! no pic cause i lost my phone temporarily..

Simply roots in water or what? They look great!
And your desk pepper looks great too. What kind of light on it?

Paolo
water + nutrients, but yeah keeping it simple, it's called kratky hydroponics.

it's under a 2ft t5 light that's on 24/7

Everything looks really good. Shame about the lost MOA. Have you planted this close before? I'm planning on doing the 1' apart with 2-3' between rows. Looking at what 1' apart looks like is much closer than I was picturing. Just curious how things worked out if you planted this close in the past

last year in containers my containers were right next to eachother, stems were 12" apart.
i kind of like it because it makes a hedge and every plant supports eachother, don't need stakes or cages. but it becomes a jungle instead of the guys who give there plants 4ft space all around a big pot and get a tree/bush.

I wonder if the float will be enough to hold them up when they get taller. My biggest issue I am having right now is support. I just was not prepared for it. Everything is tipping over.

What peppers do you have in there?

2 dorset naga, 2 butch douglah f5.

its actually resting on the sides of the 1020 tray. and i put a couple pieces of ductape on the sides so it doesn't move on me.

first time doing this so i'll see how it goes

thats a mom sized, whatever it is. the little ones are about the size of your fist.

i'm wonder how the hydro will go too, i used seeds that had been germinated sitting in my tupperware for 50 days or so lol...........

going to start some fresh ones in a few weeks.
