Just not safe in school any more

"  Emergency response triggered at US school after forty students eat one of the world's hottest peppers

The Bhut Jolokia pepper has a rating of over a million Scoville heat units "

I did not want to post a link , so do a search if you want more info.

Until super hots, I never realized how often I touch my face and eyes or how long it takes the oils to wash out of your skin.  I can imagine some of those kids really thought they messed their eyes up.  I remember when I got my wife really good, oh damn she was screaming and rolling around.  I tried to tell her that stop, drop, and roll doesn't help with peppers. That just seemed to make her more angry.

Oh damn your link cracks me up cause it is a UK source & this is the one from Ohio.  I used to live there.  Have lots of family and friends there.  Especially around the Dayton area.  The thing that cracks me up is the area tends to make national and international news for the damnedest things.

A bit more than a decade ago, a tanker truck jack knifed and dumped the contents of its trailer down a huge stretch of one of the freeways.  Hazmat folk were called in, freeway closed for days, people in yellow suits everywhere.  Turns out, it was human waste coming from New York to be turned into fertilizer.  So yep, Ohio is known for the longest skid mark in the world.

Whenever I make that mistake, I thank God that it was only my face. It could always be much, much worse.
It is frigging amazing how long the oils remain on your hands isn't it?  If I don't wear gloves when I deseed, I can take a shower days later and get the fire crotch.  Of course wear gloves, but found out Dawn dish soap works better than many others.

That is why they use it on the wildlife caught in a tanker oil spill.

IT cuts through oils well.
