Hey ya'll Said goodbye to teh big dry ditch yesterday noon, Vegas time. Last week mrs. blues landed a HUGE job with a former employer that has an office here in Frisco. Fact is, the six weeks she was here jobhunting, things nothing was happening and then last week BOOM SHAKA LAKA. First an HVAC joint hired her. Then a hire offer from her former employer. And still another offering from an infrastructure construction (bridges, roads, etc.) company. So yesterday, had the house inspected, loaded up my guitars and amps, clothes some odds and ends and bluesdawg missylou. Got here around 1400 hours Tejas time. Only one 45 minute nap along the way. So I am very happy to be back in the land of all 'thangs, tex-mex, bbq, chile, burgers and chicken fried steak. Not too mention bein' back in the land of TEXAS BLUES!

Salute' ya'll! I love my life!

She's got 6 weeks of nagging to catch up on. Seriously though, we missed each other something Gawd' awful. I am so happy to be with her with the people and culture I grew up with. Some things have changed from when I was here last but the people, and the Texas spirit are as alive more than ever. Lyle Lovett had it right when he sang..."that's right, you're not from Texas but Texas wants you anyway...."

I was going to try and do the Hotdog t-down this weekend but I have a date with mrs. blues tomorrow night at Kenny's Burger Joint. Sunday is my Chicken Fried Steak day. No veggies this weekend! Six Flags is known for its deep fried treats. Have mercy...I didn't even mention teh brisket or snausage. One other thing...I'm 20 minutes from Lake Lewisville...CRAPPY!! I don't love fishing. I love catching!

if you are going to be available, we play at the white elephant on Sunday, 10 April 2-6 afternoon gig, then the night of the 16th (9-1)...

we got a big "ranch party" we call the spring fling coming up the end of the month and I would love for you to meet some of my best compadres...it's going to be just north of Ranger...

Glad you made it safe and sound. Tell Mrs. Blues I said hi and give Missylou a kiss for me. Can't wait to come hang out with you again.

The Shiner and Love Burger are icing on the cake. The main event will be to meet THE MAN. Alabama Jack. Frisco is not a good vaca destination in my opinion. Not much for hotels and such and boring unless you have an agenda. DFW on the other hand...do your research and google heavy! I would be a side trip to all the happenings in DFW which if you looked up the term AWESOMETOWN in the dictionary...you would find DFW! I would dearly love to convert you to Texas Jay. Lyle Lovett said it best.."that's right you're not from Texas but Texas wants you anyway.."
 
I would never be able to move there, but sure can't wait to come visit. I plan on gaining about 20lbs while I am there.

20#'s?..make it 50! I just showed up and am 2 days in and gained 10!!! Have mercy! I need to dig out my bike from the garage. After tonight...no more meat for 2 months. The vodka banana/orange/strawberry ain't zackly helpin' with that either. 'Fraid to go to teh liquor sto'. I'd waaaaay over spend there.
