wanted looking for red mangrove seeds/Propagules

I have had in the past and am now looking to get again red mangroves for my fish tank filters and what not. I have been reading online that from the beginning of Oct through December they drop loads of their seeds all along the Florida waterways where they are found.

I am looking for a member from there that would be willing to fill a medium flat rate box with these seeds/Propagules and mail them to me. contact me either with a pm or email and we can figure a price for them. 1 or 2 small mangroves can take a 55 gal toxic in nitrates down to almost zero in 24 to 48 hrs through there filtering abilities. They also make cool Bonsai plants.

That's a great idea! Mangroves are a neat plant and an awesome ecosystem. I did a big research paper in college on them and found them to be very interesting!

Thanks BP I think I got it took care of. I stumbled across a reasonable source for some from the Florida dept of natural resources. Have 36 coming for 36$ shipped not the usual 3 to 7 bucks a piece for propagules and 10 to 20 for started plants with leaves. If I need more I will give you a shout.

Well I have had my new ones now for about 5 days now and will be setting them up over the next week in several filters and pots.
been letting them get a good drink after shipping

All that came had roots and many had leaves already as well.

Here are some of my mangroves as they have grown since getting them. Mostly roots and the leaves grew a little bigger. Just got a 55 gal for a filter tank. I have to fix it up then plant these guys in it . Water from my other fish tanks will come in to one side and be pumped back out the other back to the tanks it came from.

Thanks for the connect on them but that is a little high even for retail during the season and about right out of season. I got mine trough the Florida Dept of natural Resources for like .55 cents each shipping included and they made me a contact for this half of Washington for them. They even sent me bigger already rooted and leaved out for this price and those run 15-25$ online each. Also TopTropicals has them 3 for 7$ on the propagules. I have the ones I wanted for my filter tank and a few more to stick in my smaller tanks and troughs. I have two stores getting them through me for their customers and a third that wants them after the holidays. One of the stores took the dirtiest water from a tank and set 4 of these in it and tested the water each day.1 week and it registered safe for fish again so they are sold on using them in their tanks and filters.
