Well, I promised exciting news about Black Label, so here it is;
I made my latest batch on Monday, and I reformulated it! While a delicious award-winning sauce, it was always supposed to be a bit hotter. The original prototype was at least 1 full point hotter on a 10-scale.
So for this batch I upped the Moruga Scorpion by ~15% and tweaked the other ingredients slightly to balance the flavor so it tasted the same.
The results are spectacular! I could not be more pleased with how it came out - I tried it for the 1st time last night on a carnitas burrito and I crushed 1/3 of the bottle - and lit myself up pretty good.
It's still not nuclear hot by any stretch, but it's a bit more respectably hot now. I hope y'all enjoy the change and the increased burn - I've received a ton of feedback over the last year that people wanted it a little hotter and truth be known, so did I.
