music Lyrics that speak to you/touch your soul ........?

Hi Guy's

Music can provoke memories, passion, feelings........

What are your favourite lyrics........ 🤔 the lyrics that "speak" to you the lyrics that you"feel" the lyrics that "touch your soul" the lyrics you "feel" within your very soul !

Basic music , classical music, with out lyrics............for me it's Wolf Gang Amadas Mozart i can "Feel" what he ment ! Better than any other classical music đŸĨ° I like Beethoven, Handel, Bach, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, but i "feel" Mozart ........when it comes to lyrics........to be honest there's only two songs that I " FEEL" firstly is the Gareth Brooks song Alabama clay.............. " the city just a "prison" with out fences " as a boy I used to leave a quiet village in the South of England with my Mother to visit my Grand mother at the Elephant an castle in London and whilst I loved my Grandma I hated the city ☚ī¸ I hated every second I spent there.

The second is the Madonna song "Crazy for you" fantastic song ...............""Can't you feel the "weight" if my stare ? " such an exeptional description......... I've experienced this and can't put it into words any better than this feeling how you can physically "feel" a stare !

Which lyrics do you "feel" "get" " relate" to ................?

It's funny, when I think about it, there are so many great songs out there that it's hard to pick only a few to use as examples but the following songs (the whole songs) are really hard to listen to without them getting to me:

If You Could Read My Mind, Changes, and Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald by Gordon Lightfoot
America by Neil Diamond
Dream On by Aerosmith (overplayed here in the US, but man what a song)
Red Sector A by Rush (Geddy Lee's mother was a Holocaust survivor, which really increases the impact of the song)
Time by Hootie and the Blowfish
He Stopped Loving Her Today by George Jones
Something to Believe In by Poison
Ask The Lonely by Four Tops
What's Going On by Marvin Gaye
Wake Up by Mad Season
Coward Of The County by Kenny Rogers

If you're talking specifically about lyrics (not the songs themselves):

"Johnny's life passed him by like a warm summer's day"-Shooting Star (Bad Company) comes to mind.
"I'd give all of my tomorrow's for another yesterday"-Me and Bobby McGee (various artists)
"Fate should have made you a gentleman's wife"-Amanda by Waylon Jennings

There's a Hip Hop song from the 90's called Natural Born Killer (by Dr. Dre) and there's a line in there: "...I see the devil in the mirror..." and the way he says it sent chills through me every time I heard the song (haven't heard it in years but I remember that).
