Man, Talk about being grilled…yesh

i mostly have long hair cuz i'm too cheap and lazy to constantly get it cut. about five years ago i cut my hair from this long to a super short bob (basically three inches at its longest) but i had to go get it trimmed every month, it was a pain. it only took me about two years to grow it all the way back and it just stays this length, i only have to get the layers redone once a year or so. and yet i also prefer men with short hair.

Oh, I love long hair on a man! I like hair on a man, period, actually. This whole trend towards waxing and de-masculinizing men's bodies is disturbing.

I gave up cutting my own hair years ago. I got this perm that burned the skin right off my scalp and frizzed my hair something awful. As my cousin sat there picking bits of dead skin out of my hair and trying to repair the frizzies, I started how much I hated the business of getting hair doos. I hated every minute of it, and even when I got a good cut, there was always the trouble and expense of getting it cut that way again. So, I stopped. Now I go once a year or so and let them hack off 5 or 6 inches of the frazzled bits on the ends.

It's just so much easier.

Tell me about it. I have extremely thick ans straight hair, so I really can't style it or perm it or anything. Every little cut shows when I get a cut so I have to get it professionaly done which (unless my mom cut it) it costs $45.

It's just not worth it.

need I say more, sometimes hair needs to be cut lol

You got this braveheart thing going on."FREEDOM!!!..."

BTW you're one smooth guy... do you wax or something?

I got my last haircut back in '00. Booked in again for the next millennium.
I can shave in the morning & have a full beard again by lunchtime.

Good thing I don't give a s*$%

 you're out of your mind to pay $45 for a haircut, you're worse than a woman. I used to baulk at spending $15 for a haircut  shaving is free! & look at the money you save for your chile habit
BTW yes I used a " U " in the word baulk because thats the way I was taught for that word even though it can also be spelt " balk " but balk dont look right to me (but just that word, other than that I dont spell like a brit)

stillz - almost forgot, thats a true redneck mullet look you have going on there

omri I agree fully, a shaved head is much better - cost, less maintainence, comfortable too!
plus side you dont have to worry about lice as much

That's because my hair shows every little cut. A $15 haircut looks horendously bad on me bacause of that.

hear hear. that whole metrosexual thing was not my cup of tea. i like manly men who kill spiders and don't talk about their feelings.

yea, the problem is that most hairdressers have no idea what to do with thick hair, the hairdresser that did that bob marveled at how thick my hair is and didn't beleive me when i said i have the thinnest hair in my family... until i sent family members his way. but the other thing with thick hair that made me give up on cuts is that they take forever and i really hate making smalltalk...

GB - having a shaved or bald head is NOT a metrosexual thing!
& having your buddies shaved is not either, all you guys here if a gal says " if its shaved, I'll give you more loving (BJ)"
I tell you what, you'll go & get the razor & shaving cream, hand them to her & say " lets get this started!" ;)
& guys dont lie!!!

i was the one that said shorter hair is better, that counts double for shaved. i just don't like waxed chests. if you feel like waxing certain other areas that wouldn't be bad but i've never met a guy willing to pour hot wax on those areas and rip out the hairs. so yea, i have no problems with shaved.

I dont wax anything! I dont have a hairy body. I only shave my skull but didnt hesitate when when 1 girlfriend said that about shaving my buddies, I went & got the razor & shaving cream right away  but otherwise no I dont shave there.

Yep Im with you on the whole waxing thing, god it disturbs me, and as for the hairdressers, I find it less scary to go to the dentist!

I was working right in the heart of the city as a chef in a pretty nice restuarant. I just normal long hair and the manager used to keep tellin me to cut my hair even though I was back of house closed kitchen. So I got my wife to do that to my head (redneck mullet thing), and adjusted my facial hair. I wore that haircut for a full day...
walked down the Brisbane city Mall caught a full train with it. people treat you different with hair like that lol.

except fot neck up, all natural. and yes, the ladies seem to love it.
btw i'm not one of those hairless men.
