Thought about doing another pizza for the TD but had a change of plans. Can't end the Labor day weekend without some steaks.

It actually just looks like dry steel around the perimeter. It's darker on the cooking surface area (grease).

Yeah that steel plate hasn't been properly seasoned yet. 

I did coat it with lard but it burned off.
