Morouga/ Brainstrain offer

What I'm surprised about is CPI's Trinidad Scorpion seeds for sale do not seem to be the Butch T strain! Anyone think it's odd?

Actually not. Yesterday they were $8.99. Today if you notice, you cannot buy a pack of them. You can ONLY buy them as the "combo pack". Ok you get two extra seeds, of which nobody really cares about. Why can't you just buy 10 seeds for $8.99 like you could until today?

Pretty simple promotion, you give away 2 species that you probably have sold very few or even none of. Then add in the $8.99 10pack and wow..u have a bargain. For seller yes, for buyer no.

Yeah but that seems to be the only option to buy the Trinidad Scorpion Morouga blend on that site so in other words its $27 bucks in their pockets and you get 20 seeds of something you aren't actually necessarily wanting. Regardless they are cashing in on people wanting the renamed chilli that has gone viral all over the news.

Plus even then It still works out at just under a dollar a seed!!

When you can get 10+ to 25 seeds of the same thing from $4-7 across multiple sites it shows what they are doing ....
 
THe Trinidad Morouga and the Trinidad Morouga Blend are definatley the one and the same variety​
as for the Morouga Red this is a more of a congo type variety which also has a yellow strain......​

Thanks JR its nice to have reputable and well respected growers to clear up these misconceptions, false ideas and confusion which is floating around everywhere at the moment
 
Well for the Brain Strain I would assume it would be best to go straight to the source (pepper ridge farms) and as for the TS Morouga I couldn't say who has isolated versions but there are countless sites with them for sale maybe grab a pack from 3-4 different sites (ie pepperlover, the hippyseed company, old barn nursery and Junglerain for example) this would give you the best chance of getting a pure strain IMO if you grew out a plant from each supplier and would be unlikely to all be from the exact same original source.
