never heard of the place but i will check them out. thanks!

Yes sir, this place has the best wings ever and really its because of the sauces. They have named nuclear also which is more of a 'dry' sauce, but the house and nuclear are by far the most HOT and flavorful.

I actually did read the wing thread and tons of great info. I was just hoping one random person knows of this wing sauce of which I speak and could tell me its base! Anyone wanna play mad scientist and dissect what is in this sauce!?

Hey I spent about 5 years in Tampa and Know exactly what you are talking about... the best response I ever got out of them is it's a secret. As for what it is, Well it's a double fried wing. First fried plain then tossed in a Franks based sauce and fried again than lightly sprinkled with more of their sauce. It's not just Franks or Franks and butter I've tried that without success, there is garlic in there as well but beyond that I'm not sure... First try getting the double frying down then try experimenting. Unfortunately I moved back to WI and it's been over a year since I've eaten there so I'm not able to to do taste tests anymore. Double fried wings have a much better flavor if done right tho so that's the main secret.

Thanks for the tip on double frying. That makes sense seeing how their wings have about 3 inches of breading, which I happen to love... The sauce I'm speaking of is definitely more than just Frank's and butter... actually this particular sauce may not contain franks what so ever. Its a much darker, deeper red, almost leaning towards a brownish. The flavor is not that of franks or most general buffalo style sauces.

One of the waitresses once told me its Tabasco based, however it may explain SOME of the flavor, but it doesn't explain the overall taste and the great HEAT from them. I may never know....

Hmmm.... Will have to try experimenting with that now. I default to Franks when trying to double Wing recipes lol. I miss having my Deli and being able to experiment with such things easily. Home deep fryers just don't have the power to duplicate the same thing easily.

But yeah absolutely the Double frying makes a huge difference Glad I could be of some help.
