p.s - good stuff on the tae-kwon-do , Bassy just got his blue belt in ju-jitsu week before last. Really cool he'll be a black belt by time he hits high school.
 
ju jitsu is what they taught us in law enforcement school....

short story...

one of the sargeants (little guy, 'bout 5'7" and 165 lbs) for the Game Commission in Florida (Jacksonville area) was almost a master in ju jitsu...whenever the deputies came across any of the good old boys breaking the game laws and they were arseholes, they would call this sargeant...he would show up, the good old boys (be it 3 or 4 of them) would get all macho and stuff and before you knew it, the sargeant had them all on the ground cuffin' them...he was a true BAD A**
 
I really love ju jitsu. I have also been trained with American Combatives, it's kind of a compilation of a lot of techniques and is surprisingly efficient and easy to use.
 
yeah his instructors instructor (who does the gradings) teaches the Aus SAS & several of the govt beret teams throughout asia. He looks like a plumber, like an ordinary guy. He is an ordinary guy, just that he could kill you with a pencil.

not too much more to tell Nova...I never worked near him as a game warden, but have heard many stories of the good old boys outnumbering him by as many as 6 to 1 and he would be the only one left standing after a fight...back then, it was fist and knives and no one would shoot each other...
 
To answer CM the lad kung food a glass from the kitchen bench (by accident appartantly). There are still shards around after muultyiple vaccummss.
