If you had the time, I'd say go for a mead of some sort.

I'll be in Denver on those days, but I'm saving my mead for a local competition this summer. Any members going to be at the Denver one?

Well, I'm all signed up.  Going to brew 3 beers.  An Imp Stout, a Wee Heavy, and a Belgian Tripel.  Pretty excited!

This is awesome.

How does it work? Are they regional competitions or is there just one?

1st round is regional although you can ship to anywhere. I have St. Louis so I'll just drive my entry over. Then there is a second round which I think may be the final round. I'm not going to worry about that until I get the results from the first lol.
