Got to admit that I feel much the same way about the relentless 'portion shrink' that afflicts damn near every form of packaged food.
When I pick up a bag of cookies and see BS like '14.75 oz,' I want nothing more than to strangle the living sheet out of the bean counters who are responsible.   I always try to buy a full pound / gallon / etc. of whatever I need, and occasionally write polite-but-pointed letters to offending companies, not that it seems to help....

I have seen this senario first hand in my home as owner of a Golden & Lab...the Golden was the Alpha dog...oh they were
hysterical...I'll take a Golden R anyday.
