Need Suggestions

I know everyone here says the worst thing to do is eat a super hot on an empty stomach. So, what are the best choices for a pre-pepper snack? I just got a box full of pods in today from cappy and can't wait to try my very first super hot, but I want to do it as inteligently as possible(sounds like an oxymoron). Any and all input is appreciated and since I know this question will come about, yes there will be video as these little pods of hate bring me to my knees!

Yesss! That's what I'm talking about! I would suggest bread and milk. It will ease the "take me to the emergency room" stomach pains! And you will think that you need to go to the hospital by the way.

Sounds like you speak from experience bud. And yeah I got those pains from the hellburgers one time on an empty stomach and then washed it down with about 3 pitchers of shiner...not a good idea.

My 12 yr old son chews 2 Gelusil before eating the superhots with me. Food or no food in his stomach he just doesn't want indigestion.

Everyone is different. It also depends on how much of that pepper you eat. I usually eat a quarter piece of any given super hot, I've had quite a few of them so far. Almost all have been eaten on a empty stomach, well had alittle bit of beer though, lol 95% of the time I had no problem at all, even the next day was not bad at all, if you know what I mean. Experiment on your own, know you limitations and go from there. :onfire: :mouthonfire:

But if you do need something, dairy products work best for me, especially during or after.

Sounds good guys, I'm thinking I will prob do half a pod and do some bread and milk before hand. I'm really psyched about this cause I have heard the fatalis have a really good flavor.

Now for the million dollar question...i have never posted video before. How hard is it to post a video and is the process about the same as doing pictures on here?

I would suggest trying a little piece just to know what kind of beast you're playing with.
Maybe you're a rough and tough caliber type guy or frail like me. Its sucks to learn the hard way, but entertaining for the rest of us!!

Yes the process for posting vids is roughly the same. Youtube or Photobucket would be your best bet to upload to. Youtube has the added benefit of being able to be directly embedded onto your post.

Heres a tip for your stomach, avoid alcohol before eating the hotties. Chocolate milk helps calm a lot of peoples stomachs after the fact.

"Heres a tip for your stomach, avoid alcohol before eating the hotties." Nova, what fun would that be? You need a beer or 2 to enhance the enjoyment! :mouthonfire:

any food prior is going to help. just get a full meal in you a while before the test. afterwords dairy all the way. not sure about the alcohol thing because beer is a food group dammit!

Haha, I have already learned my lesson with the beer. The tasting is over and I am currently in the process of posting it(I hope). I will post it in the review forum.

Sorry guys, technical difficulties over here with the uploading, I'm sure it's operator error though. I will have to get it posted in the morning.

I would recommend something substantial but not something greasy or upsetting that would compound what is coming (e.g. I wouldn't be eating pizza, burgers, spicy food, or milk). Wheat breads or pasta would be a good example of what you might try first. I know suggesting not drinking milk beforehand sounds counter-intuitive, but the excess lactose can exacerbate feelings of nausea sometime brought on by super-hots. If you must prime with dairy, I'd stick to a mild, dry, low fat high protein cheese like Parmesan. Parmesan cheese or wheat bread are likely both ideal, as they're mild but absorbing, and substantial enough to buffer the lining of your stomach against the unmitigated heat of super-hots.

In the end though, Pepto-Bismol is probably your best bet, Maximum Strength if you're serious.

I did a turkey sandwich with wheat bread and a small glass of milk before hand. Then it was another small glass of milk afterwards with a couple nauzene tablets, they work pretty fast and do the job well for me. The yellow 7 pod is on the bill today when I get off work this afternoon, should have the video up by this evening.
