misc New growing season in full swing here.

Good afternoon.
Here the weather is hot and sunny and has been realy warm for several weeks now. Spring is here. The plants from last year and the year before are growing like weeds. The first flowers of the Jalapeños is almost open and the bell peppers are also making some buds.
The chillies that is now going for their seventh season is going strong too.
This year we have about 25 types growing. A first for us.
Later I will post some pictures.

Cleared some bush, packed stones and leveled out some. Mountain style!

Aji ammarillo on its way. They are usually first to ripen. Remember. This is like beginning of May for you in the north.

Planting in between winter crops. Space for planting here in this rocky valley is scarce.

Chillies eberwhere. Now about 180 plants in the ground. About 50 more must find a spot

Will do. The stuff that germinated from the Bolivian truckdriver's lunch box dried chillies is still small. We will see what that is later. The dark brown seeds are almist for sure Pubes but still not sure.

Pure stone. I dig holes in between the stones. They seem to like it. With wheelbarrow loads of worm castings on top and later rabbit guano.

The best chiles from Mexico are grown in the Yucatán. The peninsula has very little soil. It's just limestone with patches of dirt here and there.
