Hi Guys,
 
New member here from Christchurch, New Zealand. I currently have growing:
  • Red and yellow scorpions
  • Serrano
  • Rocoto
  • Two semi unidentified plants
These plants were grown from seeds from pods bought at a shop. The two unidentified plants came from pods labelled as Habanero and But Jolokia, however when tasting them, the ones labelled as Habanero were unexpectedly hot, and the "Bhut Jolokia" was barely hot at all (compared to some of the others). I suspect that someone may have been having a laugh and switched the labels around. I guess I'll just have to wait until I get some fruit out of them.
 
Anyway, I'll probably be a lurker for a while, but I'm sure I'll learn heaps from you guys all the same.

:welcome:  to the THP forums! If someone did switch labels between a Habanero and a Bhut Jolokia... that's a pretty twisted thing to do - BIG difference between the two. There's certainly no mistaking the heat between them for sure! Hope they both grow well for you; you'll certainly be able to tell what is what when you have pods!
