I've got some Hmong pepper seeds to trade.
I got these from some nice red ripe Hmong peppers I got at the St. Paul Hmong Farmers Market when I was there for a wedding last weekend. The whole Hmong scene in St. Paul is pretty cool: the Hmong farmers market and the Hmong International Market, its quite trippy. definitely check it out if you find yourself visiting the twin cities.
anyway, alot of the vendors were selling this pepper. ( and I did ask one vendor who was selling four different peppers which was the Hmong pepper and she pointed to the same).
its about two inches long , squat and tapered, red ,pungent and medium hot. looks nothing like your typical thai peppers (prik kee nuu, etc.) the Hmong mash these up with cilantro and lime and eat it with bbq'd beef bone. its got quite a kick with out making your eyes bleed. oh and its good.
sorry about my shitty photo. just wanted to give you some scale. (these have been air drying all week)
Twenty seeds to a baggie. I ship well packed and hope for the same.
I'm looking for:
( and five of any of anyone of these would be fair trade, my garden's small )
Bonda Ma Jacques
Naga Morich
Dorset Morich
Yellow Thai
Orange Thai
White Peruvian Habanero
Please PM if you're interested in a trade.
and anyone who's sent me seed in the past is welcome to PM me also and I'll be happy to send some out.
Hope your pods are ripenin'.
p.s. sorry, was unable to load the pic.
