Is it bad for potted plants outdoors to be in the rain for extended time? Even if you're growing in well-drained containers, the growing medium would stay water logged. Does it leach the nutrients?

It might get flooded and overwatering may occur in containers

If they are big enough plants I wouldnt worry. New starts in bigger containers id worry.
Well I'm growing in smart pots, my plants are 4 months old. It rained all day Saturday and yesterday at my house. Literally all day and yesterday there were several times it was a downpour. My plants didn't seem to be affected by it. But like others said, I wouldn't have left them out if they were in 1 gallon pots or smaller
