Optimum Nutrient pH?

5.5 to 7 ish is acceptable. But I find 6.0 on the money is optimum. Leaves will start turning upside down and curling when ph is too out of whack.
 
I've always held mine at 5.7 - 5.8 though I've read a number of people start at 5.7 and let it drift up to 6.2 before adjusting it back down. The reasoning behind it is that different nutes are absorbed at different pH levels. Never tried it though.
