I am thinking about overwintering a few of my plants and was wondering if 1 gal pots would be big enough for plant coming out of the ground. I think they will probably die but I'm going to try it anyway. What do you seasoned (overwinterers) think?
Trim the roots to fit and trim the top so it's about equal to the root ball. I used ~1/2 gal pots and the peppers survived...even smaller and I'm sure it would be fine. You can even grow it in a bonsai pot.
