Just had to start more didnt you   lol. I have a few new varieties between my real aerogarden and my make shift aerogarden. Might start one more small round. Not much more for this year though. I have some yellow manzanos, devils tongue, bishops crown, Chocolate Morugas and billy goats going, only 1 or 2 of each. I have gotten a few packages in response to what I sent out so I have a few varieties I have never heard of and I am anxious to grow a couple but I dont want to bite off more than I can chew for this year. So I may start a Peach Ghost, Brazillian rainbow and maybe 2 or 3 others. but that will be it. Looking great bud.

Just some insurance, Alex!   These are all short season annuums.
I determined I was getting poor germ
rates because my incubators were too hot because I didn't vent
them. Now that they are vented and reseeded, the original seed
is starting to pop! The AG seeds make me feel safer : )

Good luck deciding what to do!  If the Brazilian Rainbow is like a Bolivian
Rainbow I grew in 2012, it will be awesome!

Paul the aero garden is certainly working well for you ....
It's a great tool, John. I really like the set it and forget it aspect,
plus very neat, clean and easy for garage/kitchen or whatever
indoor space you have. Mine is the old version with seven holes
and flouro grow lamps,

One of your MoA has set two pods in the two liter pot under the lights.
A real overachiever

The Cardi pods have grown to 2" in length:

Congrats on the MoA pods Paul!

They are a fantastic pod.

Good luck with the new starts ;)
Sort of funny to see pods setting in the garage  :D

I think I'll have plenty of annuums to fill my ten spaces.
I'll just grow whatever sprouts at this point.  I have 4 Serranos,
and the Padrons are starting to pop.  Still waiting on Jalapeños,
Poblanos, and Costeño Amarillo. All reseeded into the AeroGarden
and the Jiffy Pellets that haven't sprouted yet.  Now I'll have too
many!  Maybe my neighbor will take them!

Congrats on the MOA and scorpion pods Paul, look good size as well. Don't grow them too big give the Brit boys a chance lol. Really impressed by the aero gardens, another glog that has me hooked. Good work mate.

Haha They could show me a thing or two, Sim.
I just hope my MoA produce some decent pods!
You can find second-hand AeroGardens on line
for not too much if you are interested in trying one

Thanks for the positivity, Sim.

As you can see, I need to get some plants out of the
greenhouse cuz they are just getting too tall!

So, Manzanos and Rocotos, Aji Amarillos and Aji LD
all get planted out this weekend. With no temps below
40F in the forecast, I'm hoping these varieties will do
okay.

Stellar results Paul... Bonnet pods this early is a real bonus! :onfire:  I'd say your Manzanos should be OK outside about now since you keep them in pots. If a cold snap is forecast you can always move them into the garage overnight. Keep up the great work!

Geez they have grown Paul!! Great stuff. I hope you trust your local met service! ;)

Too much, Tristen. I am a victim of my own success!

I use several weather services. None are showing
low night temps, i.e. below 40F. The Manzanos and
Rocotos can take colder temps if the exposure is brief
and the days are warm.

They are getting too big to move around without risking physical
damage, Rick. I'm confident they will be okay. I'm giving them a
trial run tonight.

Took advantage of a nice day to get some plants outside for a spell:

I have a little time left before plant out. we are at the mid 60s right now during the day, night still goes to about 38-42.... Its almost time.......

Yes, almost time!

Our days are a little cooler, but nights about the same, Alex.
I'm in the same boat here, just enough weather breaks
to get a little bit done, then more rain.  It's been a record
wet winter for us here in NW Oregon.  I'm hoping it means
a great Spring and Summer!

Always a treat to visit here and see a true gardener at work; and that's said without blowing any smoke ;)

Hey, use a hand truck or some call it a dollie to move the heavy ones. I do. Gotta work smarter, not harder ;)
You are generous with your praise as always - thanks, Scottie!

The problem is the 18 gallon tubs are sooooo heavy, and large,
and tight spaces make it hard to get them indoors conveniently.
The  c. pubescens are in their big pots for better or worse.  The Ajis
will have to wait for a week more, maybe.  Will try ti get a pic or two
today if the weather holds a little.  Heavy rain last night.  Hoping for
full plant out about first week of May

Fantastic looking plants. Thanks, Charles!

What size containers are the Lemon drops in? Look like 5x5 squares. Amazing!
They are, Charles.  51/4 x 51/4 x 61/4 inches, actually.
The maker calls them  "Jumbo Seniors"; they are 2-liter
size, about 67 inches3.

The Aji Lemon Drops are most amazing plants - fast
growing, early podding!
