I'm glad to see a few of those Mr. Sausage Yellow seeds germinating.  I was worried about those seeds when I was harvesting them, and wasn't sure how they'd turn out.
You did good, buddy!
Hey, Mitch! The Mr. Sausage Yellow seeds are 6/6
in the germinator! The first one up is twice the size
of the rest and earlier. I'm wondering if that one
really is a Sausage Yellow.  Do you remember many
differences in the little plants when they came up?

Pretty slow night...

On the bright side, Some so-far-stubborn varieties*
have finally started to stir. Hoping for more of them.

I only grew three of them out last year, and all three of them were different right from the start.

The red variety had some purple coloration in the stalk, so I could tell right away it was different.  And the third one struggled to get traction all year, and didn't produce much.

Also, I didn't isolate these seeds, so there's no telling if they might have been naughty.  There was a BJh-Mystery nearby, as well as some Trippaul Threat.  I also had an Aji Margarentino, Aji Jobito and Bahamian Goat not too much further away, as well as the Red variety of the Mr. Sausage. If you did end up with one that crossed yet again, it should be interesting.

Happy to see that both strains I sent (Aji strawberry drop and Tasmanian black) have sprouted so quickly; TB was on the lazy side and took quite a while to emerge year. Seems that 2020 seeds have more will !!

Still waiting after the Trippaul threat white and Purple thunder to emerge; probably a matter of days now.

Rock on!

Really slim pickens last overnight. I have
a feeling that hooks will trickle in one-by-
one for another week. Then it's the wilds
waiting game. At least some new* varieties
are showing up. Really wanting some more
VJ white, TT v2, and a few backups for my
singletons. Wilds? I'll take what I can get.
I'm happy for the Wild Cumari and the Purple
Flower chacoense, hoping they survive.

Unfortunately, no new sprouts, yet, today.

With germination slowing, summary
of progress so far.

Wilds - About half of the varieties are up.
            Glabriusculum the best preforming
            group, all varieties represented.
            15/33=45%. Wiri-wiri and Yellow
Pequin 100%. 2/10 of the 'exotic'
            varieties up.

Chinense - Decent germination with the
                  exception of the Trippaul Threat
                  seeds (3/24=13%.) The rest,
                  38/47=81%. All varieties represented.

Rocotos - All varieties represented 26/30=87%.

Baccatums - Both varieties represented 7/8=88%.

Annuums - All varieties represented 33/40=83%

Frutescens - 33% for Chili Costa Rica.

Haha, went out to check trays and found 3 5 6 hooks.
At this rate, I'll never I might hit 50% overall germ rate  .
Wilds and Trippaul threat have impacted my overall
germination rate quite a bit, but by categories, the
rate isn't horrible   .

Wilds are sometimes finicky. My own group is
not doing so great, but it hasn't even been
three weeks yet. At the 21 day mark all cells
left ungerminated will go on the heating duct
in the garage. The temperature swings there
seemed to jar loose some of the stubborn
ones last year. Worth a try.
