Mixed up a bag of Fox Farms Happy Frog and Ocean Forest
with a few additives (Fish Meal, Blood Meal, Bone Meal, Alfalfa
Meal, and a quart of Perlite.) Wound up with 2.5 cu. ft./22.5 gal-
lons of soil.

That's some good soil mix you have there paul
Your plants will thank you for it

Well after catching up with some rereading I noticed you ended up doing pretty will with great looking plants & even extras!
All the best to you this season

Five week Grow Shelf check-in just for the record.

The work bench / table I built is a great growing table,
as well. It is nice to be able to spread out some plants
under both T5HO 4x4 lamps.

The best part is not having to top plants because of
lack of headroom on the grow shelf. Maybe this year,
my plants will have natural growth habits!

The only down side is now I have more
plants to take care of

What brand/model of greenhouse is that and how do you like it? I've been looking for one for my cacti collection and some of my other plants but essentially, doesn't matter if it's $500 or $5000, they all have bad reviews online, so I haven't been able to decide.

I bought this in 2012 for $300 at Harbor Freight
You would want to add some benches and shelves.
Also, I made a good foundation of 4x4 treated lumber
filled with 3-4" of gravel (half to quarter clean) laid on top
of landscape fabric.

the price stayed at $300 for several years. but now
they are $429. Still the least expensive on the market,
I suppose. I have had good results with it. It's not fancy,
but with a little space heater it gets us through some cold
Spring and Fall nights. I had to replace the panels once so far.

Ok thanks! I'll check with them.

The Rocotos are doing great under the T12 shop light.
The T5HO lamps are too much for them.

There is lots of u tube vids about people adding mods and reinforcing those. They def seem like a decent buy, I've considered it myself
The only downers I saw with my kit was they mis-stated the dimensions of the floor frame. So when I made the foundation, the frame was too long. I double checked all measurements, and sure enough they had the wrong dimension in their directions. Fortunately it was an easy fix. So, put the floor frame together before making a foundation.

Second, the panels are not UV treated, so they deteriorate on the roof after a few years. I replaced the roof panels, but all the other panels are originals. It's been almost 10 years mow, and it's time to replace the other panels. I wish they made a panel replacement kit for them.

If you decide to use their shelf kits, it's much easier to install during construction rather than retro-fitting the shelves like I did.

For a hobby grower, this is a great greenhouse. In a warmer climate, they would be just awesome. Here, we have to heat them a little in the winter.

That's a great tip about the floor frame. Here I would have to air condition it 7 months of the year
