Ah ok, I thought because you wrote "sown" next to several of the varieties, they might have hit the soil already?...

Hey, Dieter! According to Semillas la Palma, this
CAP 524 is supposed to be quite cold-tolerant.
Looking forward to seeing what that means.

Got up this morning to two hooks in my seed CGN22795, 2019,
on the right side in the picture. Twenty six days to germinate vs.
12 days for the Semillas la Palma 22795, 2021 seeds, plus I only
had three seeds.

I was a bit worried about these seeds, as the pods never really got
totally red, just a dark orange. Hoping the earlier start will make it
possible to get more ripe red pods this time a round.

Another hook for the CGN22795 Semillas la Palma.
It showed up in the lower left cell in the above pic.

Dropped the c. chinense and c. baccatum seeds today.
Using rockwool cubes because I had some laying around.
I have had good success with them in the past. They are in
4-cell packs on the heat mat under 7" dome.
 
@Mildfruit - I waffle back and forth between soil
and rockwool for germinating. The soil is nice
because it feeds the sprouts a little, but the
convenience of the rockwool is hard to beat. I
use General Hydroponics Rapid Start with the
rockwool and it seems to get things off to a
good beginning. Either way, the sprouts can
go a couple of weeks before transplanting, which
takes the time pressure off a bit.
