hello all. I am Leslie st.Albord of nassau bahamas. I was thinking of starting a pepper seed company . I would be an alternative to buying from reimers.
Can any body help me with this. Have a few seeds in peat pellets like congo trinidad savina and two naga plants. all have radicles .

can any1 help me . i also would like to let this company be co runned by the people on this forrum. You all r verry nice. So if u have any suggestions or questions or ideas u can post them in this thread

Thanks to all the pepper heads out there.
And my ausie pal neeil for telling me to try here.

If i were you i wouldn't start a compnay......at least not yet of course lol.espically if you only have a few plants. and you cant have 20 different people wanting in on the money. Im just saying and you don't even have to listen to me. Im just growing them to eat em and share some seeds and just enjoying it. All right take it easy.

This woman ripped me off.I would have sent here free seeds as many here on this forum can attest. She is a liar and a cheat. She represents seeds she does not have.Take your chances! She thinkas she will start a seed companny with my free seeds?!!!I have copys of her e_mails which I will be glad to share...I'm sure she has been ripping people off from GW for quite some time.I have other evidence from other experts to prove my issues.AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!

I stand with scoville, have received seeds from him and never been disappointed. I have no reason to doubt him. I also have seen some of the remarks over on GW, enough to raise doubts anyway. IMO no one should be trying to start a company without having an adequate supply of seeds that you don't have to depend on people giving them to you. Too many times people ask for seeds, which I'm happy to share, then they disappear and never come back to the forum...guess they were only here for free seeds. Sorry to say that makes me a bit more skeptical next time. I have traded seeds with many of you here and never had any problems, in fact the generosity here is totally amazing! This is a very giving group of fine people and no one should try to take advantage of that.

Forget the seed company, you'd be taking advantage of people's generosity and you'd never know how true your seeds are to start with, and then you'd have to isolate each variety for trueness.
I generally don't even like to give away seeds unless I've grown that variety for a few years. Its nice to have a lot of varieties, but if you don't know anything about each one, then its difficult to be respected as a seed seller

ok potawe i wont start it . . Because taking advantage of generosity is wrong. I would not do that. well in the mean time i'lprobably blog or post about my garden and other nice things and do some trades.

Thanx guys

I second that. I have also dealt with Scoville and his word is plenty for me. Didn't know this was the one- thanks for the heads up.

Sooo, is he taking your money and not delivering, or is he just not sending free seeds? PayPal is a great tool if you're complaining about losing money... I tried to order seeds from Reimer Seed Co and they never delivered (shitty ass mo fo's)... I filed a claim with PayPal and got a return within seriously 20 minutes! I say use PayPal.

I'm not worried about getting the seeds. I have a few types I'm not going to have time to plant this year anyway. But if you're serious about trading for seeds AT ALL you will need to figure out the issue with getting them past customs and make it as easy as possible for others. Otherwise people will not want to deal with you in the future.

I am serious bout trading . I'll find a way to get them past customs.

Might be a bit tricky starting a seed company if you have never got any seeds to anybody...

INFO ON SEEDS

BRADLEYS BAHAMIAN
Species: Frutescens Origin: Bahamas Heat: Very Hot
Add to my growing list

This plant was found growing outside a small cave on the Island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas (hence is other name 'Eleuthera Pepper') and is named in honor of Bill Bradley, the man who discovered it. This plant grows as a bush about 2 feet tall by 3.5 feet wide. The pods range from 1 to 2 inches long and about 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch in diameter and mature to orange or, in a longer season, to red. The pepper is wrinkled with pleats by the sepals.
