pests Pest ID help please

Good afternoon all,

Unfortunately I dont have a camera capable of a good image. I dont know if I am looking at the adult and larvae of the same pest or 2 different ones. There are tiny dark flies around the plants, and tiny almost translucent little bugs on top of the soil and around the pots. They look like they have antenna. I am guessing they are aphids but I just want to make sure so I dont use the wrong treatment.

Thanks for your help,

Chad

The dark flies are fungus gnats, the adults are annoying but harmless, it's the larva that have potential to nibble on plant roots. Several waterings with Mosquito Dunks water over a period of a few weeks would finish them off.

My guess would be aphids for the other ones as well.
