I was given 5 seeds of this cross and 3 germinated. The cross was made by Michael Pfentner in up-state New York. 
 
Out of those 3, one plant gave purple spotted pods and one was better at showing a bleeding calyx and stem. The plants had similar amounts of purple foliage, but were nowhere near as dark as PdN. 
 
Flavour was Ok, taking more from the PdN than the Bbg7. I intend to grow out 15-20 plants in F2. 
 
 

 

 

 
 
Interesting to see the purple expressed in blocky spots like that and the red stem is way cool!
 
Very interesting, I favor the last one with even the stem turning red, the pods remind me more of a annuum than C. chinense pretty cool none the less. It will be interesting to see how it is down the road about F6 or more.  
 
PDN have a rather nutty taste to me. Does that carry overin This cross or does it retain more of the BBG flavor?
