PLease id this Thai Pepper

Im new to Peppers and my buddy gave these to me, he described them as Thai Hot Peppers, is this Thai Hot Pepper a Thai Dragon??
and is it worth saving seeds from a pepper he got from the supermarket

it looks like thai hot and me personally i wouldnt save the seeds but if you like the taste of them go ahead and save em and start growing em. no point on saving a seed that you are going to grow that you dont like. its all up to u

Looks like Thai Dragon to me..I grew them last year..stems look the same..do they grow straight up? Nice pepper..good for drying

If you like the taste, save the seeds and have fun. The problem is that you have no idea how close they were grown to other varieties and if crossed.

thanks for the replys guys, yea it dosent have that great of a taste its a semi bitter after taste.

A long C. Annuum variety which looks exactly like this one

is called "Prik Num" and can be also eaten green

as a dip with pork crackle and steamed veges from Northern Thailand
