possible rabbit

I just got home and found something knocked my yellow stuffer tomato off the roots ate my entire ghost pepper plant and all the leaves off my habanero plant.

I just saved them from the last frost I hope last night and this happens.

That sucks man. Never had rabbits bother my pepper plants yet. Few years ago they went though my broccoli pretty quick though. Put a small fence around them and never had another problem with them. Lowes sell rabbit fencing pretty cheap. Slugs on the other hand did a number on my pepper seedlings last year.

I setup chicken wire around the peppers and tomatos. I think it is odd even the roots are gone from the ghost pepper.

Your possible rabbit sounds like my goats: the more prized the plant is the more delectable it must taste! I actually had to put rabbit wire around my plum tree because the dirtbags were eating the bark off! :banghead:

Hope your able to get this situation under wraps soon. Wouldn't want to miss a whole season due to critters in the yard!

They may recover. I was hit by a nasty plant muncher several days ago and the plants are trying to make a comeback.
