1/23/12 After 3 days of neglect while I was out of town. Tray sat on a table near south facing window. Not what they needed but it kept them alive. I used my 15 minutes of free time for the week and hung a light for them.

Geez, John, great pics of some great pods. The stingers
on those primos look like they belong in a dispensary; you
could just inject the oil right into your veins! Poke and
squeeze! Your harvests are rollin' along great; keep it up, brother!

Nice to see you slumming it here sir! HOOK EM UP....intravenously! Back in my drinking days, there was a bartender who used to holler that out after I would be there ohhh 10-12 hours. Glad those days are behind me. Take care of yourself my man.

I guess I can make a little update...

This Naga plant has taken over two plants and working on a third..

Orchid or Bishop's crown.... Plant was a locked out twig for a couple months. It's about 4x4x4

Douglah stopped growing vertically, but still putting out a ton of pods daily.

One of my Primo plants is losing it's tail action and putting out larger pumpkin pods. Not sure if that is a nutrient issue or not,but all plants received a healthy "juicing" yesterday.

Great update! ...I like the ypward growth in photo #1, those pots are easy to move abot if necessary. Nice color on the Douglahs, did you tilt the pot for shot...
Good luck with the cross, start the seeds as soon as possible, grow the plant indoors.
You'll have plants for next season, ready to go...Generic Q-Tip or the real thig......Ha

Plants are looking super duper John. I too was wondering how you got that Douglah to pose for the pic

So any hints on what your crossing, I am guessing chiltepin x douglah :liar:

I leaned the pot back on that Doogie shot. I bought those pots for $1.50 a piece. The guy asked for $1.00 and I felt bad. They are pretty durable and easy to manuever. They are supposed to be 15 gal but I'm sure it's a small bit less, and missing a couple inches of dirt on top. The q-tip was out of a travel pack, not sure the make. It does look a bit unruly.

Nice update, John. That Yellow 7 is a real producer. I'm
amazed at the growth on the Naga, and the Primos look
like they will be great pods.

God growin', brother!

Naga Morich and a Yellow 7 Jamie. I have a couple different ones going also. I'm not expecting much, they haven't fallen off the plant yet ,so I think they have taken. Hopefully they get ripe before the frosts come.

Having trouble keeping up with all the glogs lately. When I clicked on yours, I was 6 or 7 pages behind! Anyway, amazing photos!!! Can't believe how early you were harvesting ripe pods either!

This one kind of reminds me of Jamie's Mystery Pepper.

Snuck in and I didn't see you. That yellow 7 is amazing,a possible overwinter for sure. Don't be surprised if you stumble across a boxfull of them some afternoon on your front porch.

I appreciate you stopping by. It is a lot of work keeping up on the glogs. That picture you posted is supposed to be c.chacoense. I'm not sure if it is or not really. Jamie's mystery annuum has a more conical shape. These things are more like a small jelly bean.

What an incredible grow you've got going there! Nice job.

I've got one douglah that's mostly growing up - it's almost as tall as I am (it was an overwinter from last year.) The new one though, is more growing out, like yours. I wonder what it is that is causing the difference, but that aside, yep, they're both heavy with pods.

Best wishes with your crosses!

Hey G,
That plant has always been alittle odd, leaves always growing straight up in the air. It seems hungrier than the rest also. It is still a pretty big plant. Maybe that picture makes it look small. I have another section of plants that I have not photographed yet. Maybe next time.

Hey Charles,
I have been following your glog and it inspired me to try a few crosses. I am more interested in getting plants to grow true, but there were a few that I thought might look cool. I didn't really study up on how to do it properly, just carefully pulled petals and anthers, then I rubbed their naughty bits.

Looking fantastic John! A ton of awesome looking pods right there brother! Fingers crossed for your...cross!
Keep 'em green buddy,
Shane

Awesome! Your plants are just huge! Looks like even if that north east weather gives a slow start. it gives a good grow once it kicks in. Cant wait to see if your crosses set pods!

@Shane... Good to see you buddy. What are you up to these days? 300 mile barefoot runs with scorpions on your nipples? Leaping tall buildings with a single bound? You are the "Chuck Norris" of this forum my man.

@Melissa... How are you sweetness? Are your primos getting close for you yet?

@Meatfreak.... The habanero man. Thanks for the encouragement!

@Bee.... How is that evil balcony of yours? You still dabbling in the hot sauce?

Things are not looking good on the balcony these days.... dark time are ahead i think... Heck yea still makin sauce though. looking forward to the next one.

Wanted to update a couple packages I received recently. It is cool how people with a common bond look after each other. This package is from Justaguy (Brian of Knepper's Peppers...try his sauces out). My guess is he saw me whining about my nardello's not growing true. This unsolicited pakage shows up on my doorstep ....

Jimmy Nardello pods and isolated seeds,Cumari du Para, and some intetesting cross. Thanks again Brian.

Next package is from Romy6(Jamie). A tasty mesquite powder with a creeping heat. I mentioned in a random thread that I wanted these seeds, and was offering my social security, and a few fingers. Might have been my first born...can't remember. Well I may start calling Jamie "BIG Brother" because he was obviously watching. I wouldn't put it past him to give me his last two seeds! Thanks brother...you inspired me to be a better member here.

Last package is from Wayright aka Kevin aka pepper warlock.. It's safe to say he is "Not"right. Did you know Sequoias grow in Georgia???Good dude who has helped me with some questions in the past.
Ordered some powders off him which I highly recommend. The Smoky 7 powder holds no prisoners!!!!! I had no less than 5 random spots on my face burning after dabbling in it. Best of all was the freebie Douglah Dance powder. I'm not sure how to do the Douglah Dance, but I may have done my own rendition of the mexican hat dance. Oh yeah... He knows I like wild types and frutescens, sent me some of those also.

I have more powder than Gilberto and Miguel Orejuela. So why not make more? These brutes are smoking as I type. Douglah,Primo,Bhut, and Butch T, apple and cherry smoked.
