1/23/12 After 3 days of neglect while I was out of town. Tray sat on a table near south facing window. Not what they needed but it kept them alive. I used my 15 minutes of free time for the week and hung a light for them.

holy moly.. theres more pods on that one plant or two than there is my entire plantation...freaking AWESOME!! :onfire:

I am just lucky that peppers need very little grower attention. I made a goal to be PATIENT and let these things do what they want. Trust me,I had the juice in my hands a couple times when I didn't think they were doing what they should be. Very basic gardening, but the basics are important. Just like sports or anything else, there are basic fundamentals that you don't take for granted and then you just get out of the way. We had a mild winter in western Pennsylvania, and the pest and disease issues were everywhere. I was very fortunate!!! There were 40 foot maple trees everywhere with diseases and brown leaves. I have never seen anything like it. I have very few plants which helps also. I couldn't see taking care of 200 pepper plants.

Wow, that's an vibrant plate of peppers, John. Photobucket conversion sucks indeed  we get the general idea, that they are huge! :D

Hiya stefan....those were taken in 1080 and looked good. Photobucket mangles them but it is quick and painless. Sometimes I do these updates at redlights and stop signs. I never have a whole bunch of time. The only time I have to relax is at work...sounds crazy, but true. Thanks for the kind words.

I have only one problem with your grow log John. It is only a 4 star

If more people do not vote and give you a 5 star I am calling taintedness. :shame:

Just amazing brotha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got to be honest, I noticed this too Jamie, and wondered what the heck is going on (seriously, I've thought this several times when visiting this glog). I agree with you, it's a 5 star blog - although, not many people vote on those things do they?

@Charles... Those are chocolate habanero from cmpman1974. He says they are one of the first varieties he's ever grown.

@Jamie & Andy.... I appreciate the kind words. They help my plants grow big and healthy!

@Shane... Yes those are. Not sure if I gave you pods or seeds for them. If I didn't,I will. If I did, grow those freaks out next year. The plant itself is more impressive than the pods.

Ah choco habs, I think I'll grow these again next year after taking a break this season... they were one of the nicer producers and made a great powder.

Nice platter photo J.........
Those peppers look so crisp and fresh. .................man I could throw in some aged "Sopressata, Cabana Sausage, Prosciutto and some hard cheeses"...and that would put a twist into the typical "Antipasta Platter"......................... Who needs Pepperoncini !

Oh man loving that Plater of Colorfull supers you got there. I spotted them primos right away them thing still amaze me . Gotta say it got me drooling at work I cant wait till my seed get in.

Pretty sure you did, I'll have to check. If not I'll hit you up later for some. Keep 'em green buddy!
Shane
What's mine is yours!

Grew up in an italian family. Haven't had any of that stuff in awhile.
Received a beautiful assortment of peppers and seeds.

Much appreciated, will get a photo up soon.

Glad they arrived safely.

Your pods are blue ribbon quality P-Son. I am so impressed. The placenta looks like the aftermath of the child I never had....ok, ok that was borderline repulsive but needed saying...and it made me chuckle so well worth it. I feel you on the small prolific varieties such as; Wild Brazil, Chilitepin and the likes. I've got a Wild Brazil here that looks like a teenage kid with back-ne problems...don't touch them they'll just keep coming back!...awesome grow, awesome pods and I really like those green scorps you've got there...throws a wrench in the color scheme. JalapeƱos are jealous of their style. KUTGF

That is one kickass group of wilds buddy! You're gonna have some fun picking those! Can't wait to see what they look like all growed up!

Okay I am calling a moderator. 10 votes which is more than anybody other than PaulG and still only a 4 star  . Something is just not right. I demand an explanation Mods! Or those who voted low need to speak up :shame: . This is a 10 star grow . :)

On some of the wilds you may have to crack or nip the shell, Spicegiest will be the expert on that. Or you may be able to a hormone to help germinate them.

Thanks free/fifs.... I like the growth habits of the wilds. Hell,I like the way everything grows. Take the pods off of the plants and I still like them. Leaf shapes, framework, leaf coloration, I'm digging it all.

I have a ton more on top of those! Let's hope I get a chance to pick them next fall.Getting all of them to set ripe fruit is my goal.

You are a prince of a man Jamie! I never even paid attention to the vote option til you mentioned it.

I'm not ruling out either of those options. No stone will be left unturned.
Good luck with the wilds, nice collection you got from cmpman1974.

Thanks Stefan.... I will be studying growth habits on these over the winter. Here are those mucho nachos.... They don't have the "stretch marks" that some of your freaks do. Those things would make "Octomom" jealous!!!!!

Common theme...I have been breaking quite a few of these off trying to harvest.

First signs of mite damage. This is a 6' primo plant I was planning on overwinteting. I shall choose another.

6' Chocolate hab from cmpman1974. Side branches are reaching for the sky. The main part of the plant is a 4' giant bush with #'s of pods!

To let you see the size of the pods from that beast...
