chinense Primotalii Thread

Hello! Who else is growing Primotalii this season? I did them last year and was so impressed I decided to do 4 plants this season. Last year I had a pheno where all the pods were boot-shapped, I dubbed it 'The Cowboy Boot Primotalii' - but - I haven't seen any of those this year. Maybe some of the later pods will show that type.

Just harvested my first ever Chocolate Primotalii the other day. About to dice this one up today and see what happens.

Most of mine are going into hot sauce
there were basically 3 different shapes to the pods this year, I had less of the 'Cowboy Boots' than last year, various long and gnarly, some were very gnarly etc.

Those look great. How long do they take compared to a regular habanero?

Hard to say, probably a little longer to ripen, but I can't be sure. I can say that once the cooler temps starting coming in the Primotaliis really started ripening quickly. I got a lot of them this year, will be making an All-Primotalii fermented hot sauce!
