Problems with leaves

I hope someone can help. I seem to be having a lot of trouble w/ my plants just recently. The leaves on a couple started to wither and I didn't think too much of it. Now a lot more of the plants are starting to get the same thing. I thought it was a deficiency of some sort, but worried it may be something else.

Also, my scorpions are the best so far, but I'm wondering if this yellowing is a lack of iron? http://www.flickr.co...in/photostream/

All plants are in pots, new. New soil. Help is appreciated! I've been slaving over these for months and quite unhappy at this turn of events :(
 
Not sure about the first one. Second could be just water droplets that sit on the leaves magnify the sun and burn it. Kinda like a magnifying glass. Anyone feel free to correct me. I have had that a few times, and my plants still seem to do well, so I dont worry.

Check the ph of your soil. If it's too alkaline the plant can't access many nutrients. A lack of iron could be the problem. Find out the ph first, then go from there. The ph should ideally be 5.5 - 6.5.
 
Well, my hubby decided to pull off every flower and pepper, even from the healthy plants w/o me knowing, so needless to say I'm worried and ...

Should help I guess, but he could have left the healthy ones alone.
 
I think it's pests. If you don't see them try a 10x magnification. First step is to blast them off with water. You will probably need to follow up with a spray. It will take about a week before you see new normal leaves.
 
There are no pests that I can see w/ the naked eye, but will try some magnification.

I clipped off the damaged parts of the plants and they seem to be doing ok right now even in this heat. The Scorpions are looking great; the yellowing is disappearing from the 1. The other is beautiful.
 
I haven't added anything like that. I find it strange that it has occurred in many different types of plants in different parts of the garden under different conditions. There is no similarity that I can think of.
