misc Product name taken?

How does one go about finding if a name has been taken? *hides my file until I check em out* lol

I usually just google it, if its out there it will come up, if it doesnt come up it could still be out there, but not big enough of a product to effect yours. I feel like thats a good rule of thumb!

We get alerts every once in a while regarding trademark infrigement. The last one was a new company named Defcon, out of the UK, that makes prosthetic devices. Pretty funny.

That be funny if you got a cease and desist from a prosthetic company. I remember this small band called Vida Blue and they had registered the name, they got a letter from a big band who also had a project called Vida Blue and wanted the registration. They offered them 10 Grand, so they took it and just renamed the band "10 Grand."
