food-bev Pulled Pork -

I've fine with the oven, pernil is from the oven, just don't call it BBQ FOOL! BBQ is a method, not a flavor. Do you blacken in the microwave?

BBQ pulled pork - from the smoker.
Pulled pork - cooked many ways - oven, slow cooker, etc.

If I'm doing it, definitely in the smoker, but my fiance who is not a pit master likes to use the crock pot.  Basically pork loin, or pork butt cut small enough to leave room around it in the crock.  Add a small amount of liquid (Beer, Soda, Stock) whatever makes ya happy.  Set on high and check it many hours later.  If you have a digital thermometer (which you can get a good wireless one from Walmart for $20) you can also just want the internal temp for 190-200f.  You don't want to go over 200.  It's really not too bad for a crockpot version.  I'm sure you can probably add liquid smoke for some smoke flavor or rub with some smoked paprika.
