Quick Chicken Stir Fry

Here's what I tossed together for dinner this evening. No real recipe here, just some boneless, skinless chick breasts, diced celery, diced carrots, diced onion, garlic, 2 chopped up orange habs, ginger, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. I cheated on the sauce. It was a powdered sauce packet that you mix with water and then reduce until it thickens up. This was a quick weeknight meal made from leftover ingredients. I usually put more effort into cooking on the weekends when I have more time :)

Served over some Jasmine rice:

It ended up being pretty tasty for something thrown together so quickly. Just the right amount of heat.

never apologize for a quick fix meal!

An using the packaged mix in a pinch....WIN!

I've use Top Ramen packets when I didn't have chicken soup base..............

i use this mixed with a few other things when i do my chicken + cashew stir fry. it's a sweetened fermented chili paste. amazing if you're going for a cheap chinese food flavor that isn't the usual watery chicken stir-fry you find in a nyc chinese take-out. the closest thing i've ever had that's close it was from a chinese take-out in baltimore back when i was in college.
