You know, I'm not quite sure because I thought they were supposed to be red but mine are yellow. Hmmmm......

Well it is a cross between Pimenta de Neyde and Bhut Jolokia. I can't remember which is the female and male. Too many Doublebocks this evening to accurately answer......

Haha, nice. I'm excited about my own P. da Neyde x Bhut cross I made, I have two little (F1) plants already, will probably get some fruit from growing them indoors in a couple of months...

With the temperatures dropping, we decided it was time to sent up the temporary hoophouses. Luckily, the little wifey-poo helped me this season. Hopefully we will be able to extend our season just like we did last year.

Just read the whole thread. (well I skimmed some bits ) Nice harvest pics!, especially after early setbacks. It's great to see the fruits of all the labours when I'm just starting to put plants outside.

No, no Sonoran chiltepins this season but I grew a close relative, Chile del Monte. Haven't had a chance to taste one yet since I'm a JUST getting ripe pods.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I had two Sonoran's this year, one in the garden with full sun and another on my patio with partial sun. The one on the patio is only now getting a ripe pod! The one in the garden I dug up and brought home in a pot, that is ripening, and they are so tasty!
