WOW, I can see why it grows. Even if I took 3 of each seed for next years grow it would be way too many. But still... I WANT IN!!! Where's the train schedule?
Greenguru said:so far no sprouts from the few seeds I have tried for the train ): I can understand I have seeds that take longer to germinate butt not got forever to hope my method of germination has worked for 4 years now.....,, so I'm sure the seeds are at fault
still trying other seeds from train.
some spinach and Capsicum pubescens since train run through here had two of xxxx spinach sprout and did and I just keep trying and it is getting closer to time for be to start next summer veggiesJubnat said:
That sucks that you're having trouble with the seeds. How long have they been germinating? and what varieties?
Maybe you just happened to pull a few unlucky seeds. Hope some will work out for you soon.
I really don't think you can compare the germination of spinach to peppers.Greenguru said:some spinach and Capsicum pubescens since train run through here had two of xxxx spinach sprout and did and I just keep trying and it is getting closer to time for be to start next summer veggies
I'm going to go out on a limb and assume they meant what "pepper" varieties you were having germination issues with.Greenguru said:Not sure what you mean Compared I was asked what and how long have they had in sprouting tent I guess I missed the memo my bad

Greenguru said:Really it's not a issue when I get bad seeds I trash them and start over I have a heat Matt and a mixed veggie container with jiffy seed start mix and yes I do presoak pepper seeds ,really getting time for my winter seeds so I have moved on to my seed stock from my fridge and start them in veggie container on my deck and have been for long time it works for me and I presoak only winter squash seeds. collards, endive, pumpkins and winter squash. In December I start my summer garden plants and I really can not chance seeds that have not shown any sign of life. I have given all the time I can on them seeds I have small area for my garden around 12-4 foot raised boxes. And my seed supply stays in the lower drawer in fridge
I hope the seed train has a place in the fridge or other seeds be drying out as we speak .......... Greenguru

My high tech grow setup.
I started a second set of 5 seeds and treated them with an ultrasonic soak. (I heard of this trick from the italians)
So anyone placing bets?
1. No seeds viable
2. Ultrasonic seeds germinate first
3. Regular soaked seeds germinate first.
