I love that quote and it will try my best to remember it through this new grow. So, I'm going with only 18 varities this year as we're looking at moving to a larger house if not buying this summer and I really don't want to have to try and haul a ton of plants when we do. the ones I've selected are:

Alot of them are ones i started last year that never grew beyond a certain point and I'm pretty sure that a lot of it was my new grower mistakes. Since I really want to try them I'm giving them a grow again. Once again, thanks to everyone that helped me getting started with gifts of seeds and to all on here thanks for leaving your incredable words of wisdom that we can all learn from.

They came from beautiful fresh pods. My only concern is that they might have dried a touch too hot. Would be great if they'll germinate and grow.

BTW, Fataliis are my most faveorite pepper of all.
 
Just based on productivity and vigor, they are moving up my list.  I haven't done enough with them to have much of an opinion on flavor, yet.  But they were one of the strongest finishers for my season here, continuing to ripen good pods even after the frost knocked off all the leaves.

Lourens, I have read on the forum that you can dry pods at 100-105˚F (around 40˚C) maximum, 
and the seeds will still be viable.  At higher temps, I get the impression they won't be.

Yea, hope you all had a great T-Day... I imagine it would probably be over 60˚C... I have tried in the oven at about 100˚C but it tends to burn the pods :)

Lourens, my dehydrator runs between 95 and 160 degrees F (35 - 71 degrees C) . I dried the Fatalii's at 95 and then cranked it up to 116 to get them to finish faster for maybe 24 hours. Given the ambient temperature it may not have been at 116 dF. I'm going to give the seeds  a shot at germinating starting probably later today but definitely this week. I'll post back up how it goes. Here's a pic of the seeds after they came out of the dehydrator.

Hi Bill, hope you had a great T-day with your family in the new launch pad. The latest sauces look great, and I'm sure taste that way too... I'm gonna have to try my hand at pumpkin hot sauce this coming season. Cheers!
 
Well, it's back to the starting blocks. Got pulled away by the kids and when I got back it had brunt, not a nice smell either, BUT, I will be recreating this. That's for sure cause te taste I had if it after the first blending was fantastic!
 
Well, I guess it's time to close this one out. It was a really crazy year with the move and all but it provided me with the opportunity to see just how much stress these pepper plants can take before kicking it. Look for the new Glog, Live From Pepper Row coming soon. Now just have to figure out what I'm going to grow :)

Awesome looking sauces and labels my friend. You have had a most amazing season and really look forward to the next seasons glog! Well done man, time for the holidays, a rest and time to try all those amazing sauces for sure!
