Totally agree but so far this winter has been less bugs for me than normal, lucky I guess or the bugs are slowed down. The summer while production for me is the strongest, the bug situation is out of control at times and much more work to rid of dem :/ BTW I could live year round with the weather like this but the lack of rain here ...

Looking good Jamie, look like some good reading for these cold winter nights we get down here while sipping a good brew out on the back porch. ;)

Hey Jamie!
I started a thread in cooking with fire called Catch of the Day... think you could get out the pole, get some Pompano and show us Yankees how to cook it right?

Thanks Ramon, I will make sure to post the first sauce I make for sho!!!!!!! :fireball:

Trippa, pods all year around here in Florida. Sauce all year around too ;) Merry Christmas

Dang Rick have you been talking to my wife again

I here ya Jason. Dem damn bugs just love it here. Haven't had a good freeze in about two years. But I ain't complaining

Rick I will check it out and show you yankee bastards how to cook some fresh fish ;)

Thanks Bill. They are great books for me. I am not as skilled as you guys so this will help out tremendously :onfire:
Snow Stefan? What is that? LOL I feel your pain. Me no likey the cold :P

Jamie, just thought you might want a see a pik of one of your Yellow 7 babies, still happily setting huge, tasty pods just a few days before Christmas. I've been schlepping 18 or so container plants in and out of the garage to protect them from the frost...This big fella just can't seem to get the memo that the growing season is over now:

Wow. 70 pages and rollin' brother. This has def become a mega-glog!
Glad the bugs and weather are more agreeable for you fellas down south now.
Your pod porn keeps us 'chilly'heads warm when it's snowin' up here!.
Keep pulling in the pods, brother Jamie!

Wow G-man that yellow 7 is one bad mofo!!! Just jaw opening seeing the way you grow . When i grow up I want to be just like you. No joke Gary. You are one chili growing machine. Thank you for sharing .

Paul G Money. Well 69 pages are from me babbling and or posting the other are from you cool ass jokers . Thanks for the compliments and I shall try to keep up the mega-glog

Eric , where have you been brother . Glad to see you pop your head up. Hope all is well. We need an update. Merry Christmas . Aloha!!!!!

been busy working 80% of my plants dead dried peppers on the ground, since i graduate i work like 14hrs a day 6days a week i leave house 8am come home 12am all i can do is sleep then head back to work...gonna try to sow some seeds again...

Dang Eric . That is way too many hours to get work'd

Stefan. Can't wait to get some more seeds in the dirt. Gonna wait till around March. Not enough sunlight and humidity right now only growing outside. Might start some of those jalapenos a little earlier depending on the weather. Thank you again for the seeds.

Merry Christmas :fireball:

Wow, waiting till March. Good luck with that  it's getting harder and harder by the day to wait any longer here :banghead:

Jamie, are you watching the cold front on its way in, don’t think it will effect me much down south but I read north FL could be getting frost :/ Predicted to hit 49 degrees here Friday night but I’ve yet to bring anything in the last 3 years. Although I have lost a few orchids prior to then but no peppers yet. I was planning on a few starters by the 31st but I might wait a few days ...

Damn Jamie, massive catch up sessions seem to be the norm lately - I'm still in Houston doing project work, peeking in on THP in strategic bursts. My plants all look like leopards when I left, as you stated , I need to feed those puppies! Heading home for x-mas eve , then right back in Houston to keep plugging away on this Subsea Riserless Well Stimulation in Ghana.Hoping the plants are still kickin when I drive home on Sunday-fingers crossed...Merry X-mas and Happy New Year(this goes for all of the THP crew!) if I "disappear" w/out notice.
DJ Clear.

Well Stefan I say March but you know how that goes. But if I start them now or in a few months they will be the same size come June. Winter seems to be good for my mature plants but young ones no likey:) Gonna start a bunch of other veggies soon so that will keep me busy. :fireball:

Ramon, gonna get purdy cold here but not enough to bring inside. I think high 30's. I live a few miles from the beach so it stays a little warmer here.

Slinga, nice to here from my amphibian friend:) I hate it when they have that leopard look. All my ingrounds are like that. Might yank em all but the container plants are much easier to feed so they are greening up. I hope your plants survive. Merry Christmas and happy new year to you as well

Same here, I'm about 3 miles from the beach and no issues w/peppers yet other than a few wind burned leaves. Since we're talking about the beach, have you even used seaweed for mulch or fertilizer? I've read a few articles on it and going to test it out for mulch on my in-ground plants after a good fresh water rinse. Hopefully I'll get to the beach on Saturday.

Haha! Thanks J Daddy! I never would have grown Yellow 7, except you kept telling me I should try it...So, thank you for the heads-up on a great chile! And thanks for the seeds, those babies really just want to grow!
