glog SadisticPeppers 2025 Glog

I plan on restarting small. I ordered Chocolate Reaper seeds from Matt's Peppers (ETA Tuesday 2/14) and will be using my patio to grow the plants. I measured it out, and with the 5-gallon Home Depot buckets from my previous venture, I should have space for 24 on the balcony, using drip irrigators and a fertilizer injector.

I'll be sure to post up pics soon when I begin the seeding process.

Update 2/14/2025: Here's the first pics. Thanks to Matt's Peppers for the quick delivery and the freebies included in the package. I'll be starting my grow this year with Chocolate Reapers.

Bit of a setback, it seems like my first seedling caught a case of leaf rot, and in the last 48 hours, it went from looking healthy to having all the leaves wilting. I saw the characteristic dark spots on all the leaves.

Should I try and save the seedling, or get rid of it and replace it with another one on the line, as all the others appear completely unaffected

Also, since I was gone for a long weekend for my birthday, a couple of the hooks & sprouts got affected, so I have 16 plants if I include the one with leaf rot

From the Glades. Hurricane season doesn't start until June, but it's rare for us to get one right at the start of the season. It's the nigh-daily summer thunderstorms from the Glades during the summer months, but those aren't usually too bad.

The one that came through my area yesterday had stronger than usual winds

TexasHotPeppers, MattsPeppers, WhiteHotPeppers, The ChiliPepperInstitute, and BakerCreek are a few that come to mind. And of course SemillasLaPalma when their store isn't having staff and international shipping issues.

When I first started what i thought was a small pepper garden (and has expanded to beyond craziness) - I used Pepper Joe all the time. Talked to him all the time. Never had issues with him or his seeds. When he sold it however, that changed bigtime. I no longer buy a single thing from him... and I buy a lot. My goto's are Bohica, Baker Creek, Tyler Farms (for superhots specifically) and still use Johnny's, Reimer and Harris seeds for others.

Thanks for the info. When I expand, I'll definitely use the ones you suggested
