The sun is just peeking up this morning and after all the rain we have had the past week (4"/10cm) and the break in the heat, the plants are starting to regain their strength and grow like wild...

This is what I call "Superhot Row" Bih Jolokias, 7 Pots, Datils, Red Savinas, Orange Hab, Dorset Nagas, Trinidad Scorpions, White Habaneros, & Chocolate Habs...

The plant to the left in front of me is a Trinidad Scorpion loaded with buds/flowers/tiny fruit, the plants I am reaching over are 7 Pots...these things are going crazy with new growth and fruit set...I think I made it through the hottest part of this north Texas summer and look forward to a good fall harvest...

Given that your season is so comparatively short... the start they had must be 90% of it.

my grow season is from the middle of april to the end of october on the average...~6 1/2 months

I was very particular with the plants when they were young and very anal retentive about the nutrients I gave them...believe it or not, all of the plants in this row with the exception of the O Hab (1) and Red Savinas (2) were started at the end of February...these were my backups and as it turned out I sure needed them...the Dorset Nagas and 7 Pots are taller than the Red Savinas that were planted 15 December...I am a firm believer in the Botanicare products and use them until about a month after plant out...it just gets too expensive to feed 300 plants with these products...I think if I could hold my plant count down to 100, I could use the B. products all the time...
