Sauce Recipe question

I have a recipe that calls for 10 Aji Panca chilis. I would like to substitute habaneros. but I am not familiar with Aji Pancas and I am not sure how much to use. How large are they? Thanks for your help.

They're about 4-5 inches long tapering from about 1 to 1.25 inches at the calyx down to a point. The flavor and heat level is quite a bit different than most habaneros though.

I'd say just go with 10 and see what happens. The first sauce always gets tweaked, so just dive in and let it tell you what it needs. Good luck!
